Dr. Vijay Yanamadala is incredible. A truly extraordinary person. Not only has he taken great care of my husband's health, but he has been lovely to speak with at every appointment since day one. Our search to find the right doctor to help my husband was challenging, our spirits were low as we had been turned away by several surgeons already who were not willing to take on my husband's case. The deformity in his cervical spine was so severe that if not taken care of and fixed would have eventually taken his life. We were referred to Dr Yanamadala by a local surgeon that called him “brilliant” and “the smartest man he knows” so going into our first appointment I had very high expectations. After our first appointment with him we had something that we hadn't in a long time….hope. Over the past 5 months he has not only met these expectations but, absolutely gone above and beyond. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient and their family while providing outstanding quality of medical care. Dr. Yanamadala is very understanding and listens to your concerns. My husband’s case was very complex and high risk, we were very lucky that Dr Yanamadala was willing and able to take it on. He takes time with the patient to help them understand every step of the process and the risks involved. He came up with a specific plan to address all of my husband's issues and assembled a top team to assist with the procedure. From his excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, we knew what to expect going into the surgical process and what next steps look like. He could give a masterclass in watching a doctor bring medical knowledge and build rapport so that a message is heard and understood by the patient and their family. I have never seen a doctor take such care and compassion with their patients. Our journey over the past 5 months with my husband’s surgery has not been an easy one, the surgery was complicated and his hospital stay was not an easy one, but, Dr. Yanamadala was in constant communication with me, answered all my questions and was always available to help in any way. He even took the time during my husband's hospital stay to facetime with our 7yr old daughter to explain to her that Daddy was going to be ok. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things he has done for our family during this time, but the most important thing is that he gave my husband his life back. He’s never stood up straighter!!! We will be forever grateful to Dr Yanamadala.
I would highly recommend Dr Yanamadala to anyone looking for a spinal neurosurgeon specializing in the area of spinal deformities neurosurgery. He is the absolute best!

Dr. Yanamadala is the best! My husband suffered a very bad herniated disc (L5-S1) and we saw two doctors who were not able to help control the pain with medications/steroids. He couldn’t stand straight or walk properly. He was in excruciating pain for two weeks. I rushed him to the emergency room on a Friday night since the pain was unbearable and he was admitted. Dr. Yanamadala was called and agreed to see him immediately and review his case. As soon as we met Dr. Yanamadala we knew he was special person. He performed emergency surgery. The herniation was worse than expected with the disc essentially crushing the nerve and he spent double the time in the operating room. The next day my husband was standing and walking again. When he saw Dr. Yanamadala he broke down and cried and thanked him for helping him. Dr. Yanamadala is a miracle worker!

This entire experience has been amazing. Dr. Yanamadala has been very attentive with my mother, and he has been patient with all of my questions. The staff and the office have also been amazing . He is taking away the stress from the entire process.
